What type of diagnoses can be treated with HANDLE?
The HANDLE approach works extremely well for a broad range of neurological challenges. We have seen positive results from individuals diagnosed with:
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity
- Learning Disabilities (Including Dyslexia)
- Tourette's Syndrome
- Brain Injury, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Sensory Processing Disorder
The HANDLE approach can also be beneficial for families concerned about:
- Perplexing Behaviors
- Language Delays
- Organizational/Memory Problems
- Sleep Disorders
- Work Efficiency
- Social Interactions
The HANDLE approach recognizes that these diagnoses are shorthand terms to describe clusters of symptomatic behavior. The approach looks at each person as a unique individual, not a label. Each program is modified to benefit the individual and optimize their neurological functioning.
-
Does this program require daily and/or weekly visits or appointments?
No, this program works best with a follow-up meeting every 4 to 6 weeks. When an individual starts the program, optimal results come from 10-30 minute session per day, woven into the daily routine. These can be self-administered or carried out with the help of another. The daily program of activities is designed gentley support the development of new neuropathways without pushing the individual past their threshold of comfort or stressing their systems. During the follow-ups, we can go over the individual plan, progress made and adjustments that will benefit the individual even more. During these sessions we will also go over specific activities to make sure that they are being done properly from home. In-between consultations are always available if they're needed.
-
Does this program require prescriptions or medical treatments?
No, the HANDLE approach is a drug-free approach. This plan was developed through psychological research and trials that promote neurological functionality without putting unnecessary stress or worry on the client. When stress or pressure overwhelms an individual, it may trigger a flight or fight response, and functions such as learning are impeeded.. The HANDLE Approach will ensure that each individual is getting the benefits they need out of every step.
-
How long does it take to see results?
We frequently see results and improvements within the first few HANDLE sessions, however, this approach isn't a magic wand. The approach encourages daily activities and regular follow-ups to ensure that the individual is getting the benefits of each neurodevelopmental activity. To get the most out of their program, the individual (alone or with the assistance of another if needed) must follow their personalized plan and maintain a level of consistency. We have seen this approach benefit countless individuals and through dedication and consistency, lasting change can be made.
-
How much does this program cost?

I suspect that I may have some neurological challenges but I'm not entirely sure.
This is an extremely valid concern. Many individuals suffer from perplexing behaviors, but never receive a diagnosis or didn't find out until they reached adulthood. If you are curious or concerned about some perplexing behaviors, we encourage you to schedule a free 30-minute consultation with us and we can guide you through the program and its benefits. With or without a "diagnosis", individuals can benefit from the HANDLE approach and increase neurological functionality. There's no reason to feel shame or believe that these challenges cause inferiority, but instead, they are obstacles that can be maneuvered with the right guidance and support. Parzival Therapies is here to help you through every step of the way.

"My son's performance in school was getting worse each year. He could not keep up with the class. By far the most alarming consequence of his problem was that he couldn't seem to get in gear..." After only a couple months of following their HANDLE program, she shares: "My son went from crying at the prospect of doing homework to the Honor Roll! This program really works!"
H. Salazar, whose son was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 10
MashIt"Before I was evaluated by HANDLE, I felt as though I were a square peg being put through a round hole... As hard as I tried, I could not fit or achieve... Typically, my difficulties were viewed as psychological in nature. It was as though I spoke a different language; and indeed that was the case. HANDLE was the "interpreter," and provided me with the key and the pathway toward becoming functional again. I am so eternally grateful to be out of the abyss, and for HANDLE's expertise."
M. Hern, a traumatic brain injury survivor
FabuFit"Our child has been diagnosed Autistic/PDD/Hyperlexic. His expressive and receptive language skills were at half his chronological age. We received at HANDLE the most careful, specific, and individualized services we have yet experienced in eight years of contact with professional providers. We saw results within two weeks' time."
T. Geer, with an 8 1/2 year old son
